Sincona sale 91, lot 3665

This specimen was lot 3665 in Sincona sale 91 (Zürich, May 2024), where it sold for 1,300 CHF (about US$1,718 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Zürich, Stadt und Kanton, Halbtaler 1721, Zürich. Stadtansicht. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half thaler of 1721, Zürich mint, city view. Good extremely fine.)"

This type was issued most years 1720-68. These city view half thalers were usually accompanied by a motto reverse half thaler tho none such were made in 1721.
