Künker Auction 425, lot 2596

This specimen was lot 2596 in Künker Auction 425 (Osnabrück, July 2025), where it sold for €700 (about US$991 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHE MÜNZEN AB 1871 · WEIMARER REPUBLIK, 3 Reichsmark 1932 F. Goethe.Polierte Platte. Exemplar der Auktion Fritz Rudolf Künker 252, Osnabrück 2014, Nr. 5322. (Germany, Weimar republic, three mark of 1932, Goethe. Proof.)"

This type was issued at six mints along with a five mark (Dav-974) and is fairly common. It is the last Weimar commemorative.

Recorded mintage: 40,000 plus proofs.

Specification: 15 g, 0.500 fine silver, 30 mm diameter.
