Stack's Bowers October 2024 Collector's Choice sale, lot 75292

This specimen was lot 75292 in Stack's Bowers Collectors Choice Online Auction (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2024), where it sold for $105. The catalog description[1] noted, "GREAT BRITAIN. Trade Tokens. Middlesex. Hall's. Copper 1/2 Penny Token, 1795. PCGS AU-55. Obverse: Kangaroo, armadillo, and rhinoceros; Reverse: Legend and date in six lines. Edge: Plain. Nice brown patina and a charming representation of these three exotic creatures." Thousands of varieties exist and Conder tokens are their own collecting specialty.
