This specimen was lot 2582 in Sincona sale 83 (Zürich, May 2023), where it sold for 100 CHF (about US$133 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Braunschweig-Lüneburg-Calenberg-Hannover, Herzogtum, Georg II. 1727-1760. 1/3 Taler 1757, Zellerfeld. Feinsilber. Mit der Münzmeistersignatur IBH. Sehr selten. Sehr schön (Very rare, Very fine)." The 12 mariengroschen was terminated after 1715. This one-third thaler, which superseded it, was struck 1737-60.
