This specimen was lot 1679 in Goldberg sale 106 (Los Angeles, September 2018), where it sold for $2,520. The catalog description[1] noted, "China. Platinum 100 Yuan, 1990. Year of the Horse. Mintage 2000 pieces. NGC graded Proof 69 Ultra Cameo." This one ounce NCLT honoring the year of the Horse superseded the platinum panda discontinued that year.

Recorded mintage: 2,000.

Specification: 31.1 g, .999 fine platinum.
