Sincona sale 85, lot 1211

This specimen was lot 1211 in Sincona sale 85 (Zurich, October 2023), where it sold for 950 CHF (about US$1,279 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 1/2 Toman 1330 AH (1912 AD), Tehran Mint. Lion & Sun type. NGC MS66. Cabinet piece. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 220. Finest certified by NGC."

This type was struck AH 1328-1330. No silver 5000 dinars is noted for this year.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.43 g, 0.900 fine gold, this specimen 1.39 g.
