Sincona sale 85, lot 1199

This specimen was lot 1199 in Sincona sale 85 (Zürich, October 2023), where it sold for 3,800 CHF (about US$5,117 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN, Sultan Ahmad Shah, 1327-1344 AH (1909-1925). 1 Toman 1329 AH (1911 AD), Tehran Mint. Lion & Sun type. Extremely rare. NGC AU58. From the Kian collection, auction SINCONA 49, October 2018, lot 229. Bought from S. Cordry, San Diego, 1982. Finest certified by NGC."

The SCWC reports two known of this date.
