Sincona sale 19, lot 60

This specimen was lot 60 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 9,500 (about US$11,905 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Polupoltinnik 1713, Red Mint. Novodel. Very rare! Clipped planchet. Planchet defect. Magnificant brilliant uncirculated with attractive grey patina. Collector’s note: 'R. without G. FDC'." This type of 1713 is rare, which would explain why it was restruck for collectors. It is slightly overweight, a common feature of novodels.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 7 g, 0.750 fine silver, this specimen 7.18 g.

Catalog reference: KM-146, Bitkin H1094 (R2). Diakov 420 (R2).
