This specimen was lot 2024 in Goldberg's NY International sale 59 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "Kopeck ҂AΨГI (1713) МД. Moscow, Kadashevsky mint. Authenticated and graded by PCGS MS 62 BN. (# 377564.62) Burnt toffee-brown. Brilliant uncirculated." This type of 1704-18 is fairly common and bears a Cyrillic date. In the days of Peter the Great, kopeks were struck in billon (KM 153) as well as copper (shown here). One hundred kopeks make a ruble. The SCWC shows kopeks ranging in weight from 4.10 g (KM 185) to 20.85 g (KM C3.2).
