Sincona sale 19, lot 47

This specimen was lot 47 in Sincona sale 19 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 800 (about US$1,003 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Kopeck 1710, Kadashevsky Mint, МД. Good very fine." This type of 1704-18 is fairly common tho this specimen realized ten times the catalog value. The SCWC shows kopeks ranging in weight from 4.10 g (KM 185) to 20.85 g (KM C3.2).

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 8.19 g, copper, this specimen 8.22 g.
