This specimen was lot 1731 in Sincona sale 63 (Zürich, June 2020), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$100 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "RUSSIA | Russian Empire and Federation | Peter I. 1682-1725. Kopeck 1708, Kadashevsky Mint, MD. 0.4 rouble according to Petrov. Very fine." The Kadashevsky Mint struck kopeks 1704-18 with the МД mintmark shown here. This coin is dated using Cyrillic letters, a habit dropped about 1720 for Arabic numbers.
