This specimen was lot 51403 in Stack's Bowers Hong Kong auction (Hong Kong, April 2021), where it sold for $10,800. The catalog description[1] noted, "CHINA. 100 Yuan, 1992. Lunar Series, Year of the Monkey. GEM PROOF. A 12 Ounce Silver coin. Sharply struck with hard mirrored fields and frosted cameo devices. Includes the case of issue and certificate of authenticity serial #000386." This is the fifth issue of this size for the Lunar Series.

Recorded mintage: 500.

Specification: 373.24 g, 0.999 fine silver, 12 oz ASW.
