Sincona sale 77, lot 2098

This specimen was lot 2098 in Sincona sale 77 (Zurich, May 2022), where it sold for 80 CHF (about US$97 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"CHINA | Volksrepublik. 10 Yuan 1990. Jahr des Pferdes. Polierte Platte. Im Originaletui mit Zertifikat. (people's republic of China, ten yuan of 1990, Year of the horse, Choice Proof, In original box with certificate.)"

This ten yuan was part of a series of NCLT's honoring the Year of the Horse which included, among others, a platinum 100 yuan (KM 287).

Recorded mintage: est. 15,000 proofs.

Specification: 15 g, 0.850 fine silver, 0.4099 troy oz ASW.
