Aureo sale 232, lot 123

The specimen shown was lot 123 in Aureo y Calicó sale 232 (Barcelona, March 2011), where it sold for 2,900 euros (about US$4,785 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"1617. Segovia. &. 8 reales. 5 flores de lis. Muy bella. Parte de brillo original. Rara así. EBC+. (Spain, Eight reales of 1617, Segovia mint, variety with five fleurs-de-lys. Very nice, some original luster and rare thus; choice extremely fine.)
