Sincona sale 4, lot 5389

This specimen was lot 5389 in Sincona sale 4 (Zurich, October 2011), where it sold for 5,400 CHF (about US$7,184 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ Kleine Spezialsammlung Zürcher Goldmünzen Dukat 1716. Sehr selten. Gutes vorzüglich. (Switzerland, city of Zurich, ducat of 1716. Very rare, good extremely fine.)"

This type was struck without change 1707-17 yet remains scarce.
