This specimen was lot 33239 in Heritage sale 3089 (Dallas, TX, January 2021), where it sold for $1,440. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden. Frederick I Plate Money 2 Daler 1720 XF/AU, Avesta mint. A first-year issue from Frederick's reign, exhibiting a wonderful clarity and sharpness to the stamps, which show hardly any evidence of doubling. Interestingly, the remnants of a few additional stamps can be seen on the back of the piece. From the Charles J. Opitz Collection." Two daler plates exist struck in the name of Ulrika Eleonora in 1720. This type was struck until 1750 and is among the most common plates.
