Künker sale 263, lot 2039

This specimen was lot 2039 in Künker sale 263 (Osnabrück, June 2015), where it sold for €750 (about US$969 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"KÖNIGREICH Ulrika Eleonora, 1718-1720. 2 Mark 1719, Stockholm. R Feine Patina, fast vorzüglich. (kingdom of Sweden, Ulrika Eleonora, 1718-20, two mark of 1719, Stockholm mint. Scarce, toned, choice extremely fine.)"

This silver two mark was struck 1719 only during the queen's brief reign yet, surprisingly, it is not priced as rare. One mark, four mark and a riksdaler (Dav-1718) also exist.

Recorded mintage: 51,000.

Specification: silver.

Catalog reference: KM 368, Ahlström 6; SMH 5.
