Sincona sale 97, lot 2283

This specimen was lot 2283 in SINCONA Auction 97 (Zürich, May 2025), where it sold for 2,500 CHF (about US$3,626 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEDEN Ulrike Eleonore, 1719-1720, Kupferplatte zu 4 Daler Silvermynt 1720, Aveta. Vier gekrönte Monogramme mit der geteilten Jahreszahl als Gegenstempel jeweils in den Ecken. Im Zentrum Gegenstempel "4 DALER - SILV: MYNT". Sehr selten. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. (kingdom of Sweden, Ulrika Eleonora, 1719-20, copper plate of four dalers of 1720, Avesta mint. Obverse: four crowned monogram stamps with date, in the center a stamp with "4 DALER - SILV: MYNT". Very rare, Very Fine-Extremely Fine.)"

This type, struck 1719-20 for the queen, is priced about double the similar plates struck for her husband and successor, Frederick I.
