This specimen was lot 45477 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Costa Mesa, CA, August 2021), where it sold for $312. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Zeeland. Lion Daalder, 1650. NGC MS-62. A crudely struck but reasonably well detailed Daalder with light gray toning throughout." Lion daalders were struck in most of the provinces that today make up the Netherlands. This type is recorded in the SCWC for Zeeland for 1606-1658. This type overlaps the prinsen rijksdaalder of 1606-58, the silver ducat of 1659-68 and the ducaton of 1660-73, all struck to different standards.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 27.68 g, 0.750 fine silver.

Catalog reference: Dav-4872; KM-16.
