Netherlands 1943P cent rev AH.jpg

This brass cent was issued by Philadelphia mint for the Dutch government-in-exile 1943-43 for her colony of Suriname. The SCWC files this under Surinam but Schulman catalogs this as a homeland type. The brass issue is fairly common but a few were issued in bronze.

Recorded mintage: 4,000,000.

Specification: 2.5 g, brass, 19 mm diameter.

Catalog reference: KM 10, Sch-1287.
