This specimen was lot 2618 in Steve Album Auction 52 (Santa Rosa, CA, May 2025), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY: Weimar Republic, AR mark, 1924-D, fully lustrous, lightly toned, two-year type, Choice Unc." The rentenmark and its subdivision the rentenpfennig were used 1923-24. Many issues minted during that time are today rare altho this type is only scarce. This denomination was superseded by a one mark (KM 44) struck 1925-27.
Recorded mintage: 17,099,000 per the SCWC, 9,216,591 per Numista.
Specification: 5 g, 0.500 fine silver, 23 mm diameter, decorated edge, engraved by Reinhard Kullrich.
