This specimen was lot 3572 in Künker sale 335 (Osnabrück, Germany, March 2020), where it sold for €120 (about US$157 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"BAYERN, SEIT 1623 KURFÜRSTENTUM, SEIT 1806 KÖNIGREICH: Karl Theodor, 1777-1799. 3 Kreuzer (Groschen) 1797, München. Fast vorzüglich. (Germany, electorate of Bavaria, Charles Theodore, 1777-99, three kreuzer of 1797, Munich mint. About extremely fine.)"
This type of 1794-97 is the first three kreuzer issued since 1767. It has a face value of 1/30 of a thaler but contains 1/32 of the amount of silver.
