This specimen was lot 47104 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2026), where it sold for $192. The catalog description[1] noted, "GERMANY. Bavaria. 3 Kreuzer, 1796. Munich Mint. Karl Theodor. PCGS MS-64." This type was struck for the elector 1794-98 and is somewhat scarce. Three kreuzer made a groschen. Karl Theodor was originally elector of the Palatinate and inherited Bavaria in 1777 on the death of his cousin, merging the two lines.
