This specimen was lot 881 in Jean Elsen sale 123 (Brussels, December 2014), where it sold for €440 (about US$639 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

This type was struck 1809-14 with 14.2 million from all mints, making it the most common French gold coin prior to the 1850's.
