The first specimen was lot 4103 in Sincona sale 9 (Zürich, October 2012), where it sold for 500 CHF (about US$632 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND Württemberg, Königreich Karl, 1864-1891. 5 Mark 1875. Vorzüglich. (Germany, Kingdom of Württemberg, Charles, 1864-91, five mark of 1875, extremely fine.)"

This type was struck 1874-76 and 1888. It is rather scarce compared to the succeeding type (Dav-964) and the 1888 is the scarcest date.

Recorded mintage: 318,000.

Specification: 27.77 g, 0.900 fine silver, 38 mm diameter.
