Sincona sale 67, lot 4112

This specimen was lot 4112 in Sincona sale 67 (Zürich, October 2020), where it sold for 50 CHF (about US$66 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"IRAN | Qajar Dynasty | Nâsir al-dîn Shâh, 1264-1313 H./1848-1896 AD, Manually produced silver coinage. 1/2 Qiran 1262 H., Tihrân. Titles and name, rev. mint and date. Toned, extremely fine."

The word qiran is translated as kran in the SCWC. This type was struck AH 1270-78 at many mints.

Recorded mintage: unknown but an unlisted date.

Specification: 2.49-2.68 g, silver, this specimen 2.62 g.
