This specimen was lot 2076 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description[1] noted, "QAJAR: Muhammad Shah, 1837-1848, AV toman, Tabriz, AH1256, type S, slightly bent, VF." The Tabriz mint struck this denomination for Muhammed Shah in type R (AH 1250 and 1254) and S (AH 1255-1261). Other mints striking type S tomans include Mashhad, Rasht, Shiraz, Isfahan and Tehran.
