This specimen was lot 1123 in Sincona sale 79 (Zurich, October 2022), where it sold for 6,500 CHF (about US$7,790 including buyer's fees). The catalog description<sup>[1]</sup> noted, "[[Great Britain|GREAT BRITAIN]] | Königreich, Charles I. 1625-1649. Double crown or 1/2 Unite of 10 shillings n. d. (1632-1633), Tower Mint under the King. Group D. Fourth bust, bust 7. Mintmark harp. NGC MS61. Extraordinarily well struck." Charles abandoned the laurel coinage of the latter part of James's reign and reverted to the old gold crown (five shillings), double crown (10 shillings) and unite (20 shillings). The early 1630's saw the resumption of experiments with milled coinage, which had been tried and abandoned in the reign of Elizabeth I.
