Sincona sale 20, lot 3589

This specimen was lot 3589 in Sincona sale 20 (Zürich, October 2014), where it sold for CHF 200 (about US$251 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted, "Taler 1646. Sehr schön. (very fine.)" While Swiss thalers are scarce as a class, this one is fairly common.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: silver; this specimen is 28.32 g.
