Sincona sale 63, lot 366

This specimen was lot 366 in Sincona sale 63 (Zurich, June 2020), where it sold for 800 CHF (about US$1,003 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"DEUTSCHLAND | Nurnberg, City. Taler 1615. Mit dem Titel von Matthias II. Sehr schön-vorzüglich. Kleine Kratzer. (Germany, city of Nurnberg, thaler of 1615, in the name of Matthias II, Very fine-extremely fine, Small scratches.)"

This type, struck 1614-19, is rather scarce.
