This specimen was lot 34050 in Heritage sale 3106 (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $3,600. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Utrecht. Provincial gold Stuiver 1760 MS66★ NGC. A quick survey of NGC's census data confirms this piece's status among the finest of this off-metal striking in gold, with only a single other receiving the technical MS66 assignment, yet wildly outshined by the current representative via the addition of a coveted 'star.' Nearly Prooflike and without flaw even to the discerning eye and certainly a top-tier candidate for a specialist. From the Coenen Collection." This denomination was struck for circulation in silver 1738-39 and 1760-65. The presentation issue was struck in half ducat weight 1738-72, 1777-82, 1786-89.
