This specimen was lot 32725 in Heritage Sale 3115 (Chicago, May 2024), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "Netherlands: Utrecht. Provincial gold 10 Stuivers (1/2 Gulden) 1759 MS62+ NGC, Utrecht mint. Quite scarce despite its placement in a long-running series, this desirable issue struck in 2 ducat weight boasts ample, medallic luster and knocks on the door of a Choice assignment. This is our first time handling this date in the series, which is the sole certified example at NGC." The silver ten stuivers or half gulden was struck 1750-51, 1755-68, 1771-93 and is fairly common. The gold presentation issue, which is rare, was struck intermittently 1759-94.
