This specimen was lot 1681 in Aureo y Calicó sale 423 (Barcelona, December 2023), where it sold for 90 € (about US$117 including buyer's fees). The catalog description^[1] noted, "1790. Carlos IV. Santiago. DA. 1 real. Bust of Carlos III. Ordinal IV. Graded NGC as Good Details Cleaned, no. 2892733-004. Ex Aureo y Calicó 04/29/2010, no. 3780. Val and Mexía Collection. Rare. BC-/BC." This type was struck at Santiago 1789-91 in limited numbers and, tho not common, is less rare than preceding types.
