The specimen shown was lot 88 in Aureo y Calicó sale 233 (Barcelona, April 2011), where it sold for 35 euros (about US$58 including buyer's fee). The catalog description[1] noted,
"1845. Segovia. 8 maravedís. Bella. Brillo original. Rara así. S/C-. (Eight maravedis of 1845, Segovia mint, handsome, original luster, about uncirculated and rare thus.)
The Spanish mints feature large issues of a variety of copper coins which did not circulate at all in the Spanish American colonies.
