This specimen was lot 21114 in Heritage sale 3021 (New York, January 2013), where it sold for $1,527.50. The catalog description^[1] noted, "Elizabeth II Proof Halfcrown 1957, PR66 Cameo NGC, a superb specimen blessed with lovely light iridescent toning. Very rare as a Proof of Record, and rarer still in this pristine condition. If you want the best in this modern rarity, this is it!" The Elizabeth II half crown was introduced in 1953 and redesigned in 1954 to drop "BRITT OMN" from the obverse and struck in that form until 1970. Proofs are rare.

Recorded mintage: 34,201,000 plus proofs.
