This specimen was lot 1112 in Goldberg sale 116 (Los Angeles, June 2020), where it sold for $444. The catalog description[1] noted, "Great Britain. Sovereign, 1957. Elizabeth II. NGC graded MS-63." This type of 1957-68 is the first large issue of sovereigns since George V but these were sold to investors and collectors and not issued for circulation.

Recorded mintage: 2,072,000 + proofs.

Specification: 7.98 g, 0.917 fine gold, 0.2355 ounce AGW.
