Stack's Bowers 2023 NYINC sale, lot 43533

This specimen was lot 43533 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $264. The catalog description^[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. Zurich. Taler, 1736. PCGS Genuine--Scratch, VF Details." This particular city view thaler was struck 1734, 1736 and 1739. The last Zurich city view thaler was struck in 1790.
