Sincona sale 102, lot 5643

This specimen was lot 5643 in Sincona Auction 102 (Zürich, October 2025), where it sold for 1,000 CHF (about US$1,507 including buyers' fees). The catalog description[1] noted,

"SCHWEIZ. Zürich. Stadt und Kanton. Halbdukat 1718, Zürich. Selten. Fast vorzüglich. (Switzerland, canton of Zürich, half ducat of 1718, Zürich mint. Rare, About Extremely Fine.)"

This type was struck 1718-67 along with a quarter ducat (Fr-488a), single ducat (Fr-486a) and double ducat.

Recorded mintage: unknown.

Specification: 1.75 g, 0.986 fine gold, this specimen 1.72 g.
