Stack's Bowers October 2021 Collector's Choice sale, lot 71767

This specimen was lot 71767 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $168. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Zeeland. 1/8 Daalder (1/8 Silver Ducat), 1774. NGC MS-62. This nicely preserved and handsome little silver coins exhibits a bold strike displaying light attractive mottled patina." This type was struck in Zeeland 1762-93 and is priced fairly low in the SCWC tho it is seldom seen. It has almost exactly the same amount of silver as the more familiar six stuivers.
