This specimen was lot 43769 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2019), where it sold for $384. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. 6 Stuivers, 1724. PCGS MS-63 Gold Shield. Well struck with good definition of the fine intricate details of the lion and the sailing ship. Attractive satiny surfaces with nice cartwheel luster. Light subtle tone throughout." This type was struck 1715-21, 1724-25, 1729-38 plus a few in gold. The denomination was last struck in Westfriesland in 1771.
