This specimen was lot 23343 in Stack's Bowers ANA sale (Chicago, August 2019), where it sold for $360. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. West Friesland. Stuiver, 1676. NGC MS-64. An exceptionally appealing coin with brilliant, prooflike surfaces on both sides. RARE quality for this silver minor issue." Stuivers and double stuivers were struck under contract by Dirk Bosch 1673-78; this subtype was issued 1676-77. The "B P" stands for "Bank Payment" but we don't know why it was added to the design. Other billon coinage included scheepjesschellings (KM 73).
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 0.81 g, 0.583 fine silver.
Catalog reference: KM-71.
