This specimen was lot 71763 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, October 2021), where it sold for $144. The catalog description[1] noted, "NETHERLANDS. Utrecht. Duit, 1791. NGC MS-66 Brown. This superb Gem offers boldly struck devices, smooth satiny surfaces and a nice cartwheel effect that pops out when rotated in the light. Hints of original mint red amongst the devices add to its pleasing appearance and originality." This type was struck in Utrecht 1739-68, 1780-93 with an extensive series of presentation strikes in silver and gold.

Recorded mintage: unknown but common.

Specification: 2.84 g, copper, 21.5 mm diameter.
