This specimen was lot 21623 in Heritage sale 3010 (Boston, August 2010), where it sold for $1,495. The catalog description[1] noted, "Utrecht. Gold 2 Ducats 1791, MS62 NGC, lightly toned and attractive, exceptionally bold design features." This type was struck throughout the eighteenth century until 1794 but remains expensive.

Specification: 7 g, 0.986 fine gold, .221 troy oz AGW.
