This specimen was lot 42407 in Stack's Bowers NYINC sale (New York, January 2023), where it sold for $240. The catalog description[1] noted, "ITALY. Tuscany. Paolo, 1846. Florence Mint. Leopold II. PCGS MS-62. From the Augustana Collection." This scarce type was struck 1842-46 and 1856-58. The paolo was one tenth of a francescone. This bust was also used on a half paolo (KM C68a), fiorino (KM C72a) and francescone (KM C75b).
