Turkey AH 1171(6) altin
This specimen was lot 2272 in Sincona sale 59 (Zürich, October 2019), where it sold for 200 CHF (about US$242 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"OSMANISCHES REICH | Mustafâ III. 1171-1187 H./1757-1774 AD. 1 Altin (Findik) 1171 H./Jahr 6, Islâmbûl (Istanbul). Tughra in Linien-, Perl- und Linienkreis, Mzst. und Jahr in gleicher Einfassung. Gutes sehr schön. (Turkey, Mustafa III, 1757-74, altin of AH 1171, year 6, Istanbul mint. Obverse: toughra in line, pearl and circle with date and mintmark. Good very fine.)"
Turkish issues before the reform of 1839 are a mess of constantly changing denominations as the government attempted to debase its way out of perpetual bankruptcy. This type was struck AH 1171, years 1-7.
