This specimen was lot 368 in Stephen Album sale 47 (Santa Rosa, CA, September 2023), where it did not sell. The catalog description[1] noted, "TURKEY: Mustafa III, 1757-1774, AV 3 altin Islambul, AH1171 year 9, pierced (as usual), VF-EF." Turkish issues before the reform of 1839 are a mess of constantly changing denominations as the government attempted to debase its way out of perpetual bankruptcy. This type is catalogued in the SCWC as a triple altin. It is listed for years 1, 5 and 9. It was probably intended to match a triple ducat but nearly all ended up as jewelry.
Recorded mintage: unknown.
Specification: 9.6 g, gold, this specimen 8.93 g.
Catalog reference: KM-350.
