This specimen was lot 71672 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Santa Ana, CA, February 2020), where it sold for $85. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWITZERLAND. 5 Rappen, 1885-B. Bern Mint. NGC MS-66. Fully struck with silky-smooth luster in the fields. Truly amazing quality for something over 125 years old!" The type was struck with a few interruptions 1879-1980 without change.

Recorded mintage: 3,000,000, a common date for the period.

Specification: 2 g, copper-nickel, 17.15 mm diameter.
