This specimen was lot 73350 in Stack's Bowers Collector's Choice sale (Costa Mesa, CA, May 2023), where it sold for $660. The catalog description[1] noted, "SWEDEN. 50 Ore, 1938. Stockholm Mint. Gustaf V. NGC PROOFLIKE-66 Cameo. A refreshing prooflike example, this wonderful piece displays a cutting cameo effect, and no traces of spotting or haziness." This type is listed for 1911-19 and 1927-39. The early dates are scarce compared to the later dates.

Recorded mintage: 441,546, a common date.

Specification: 5 g, 0.600 fine silver, 22 mm diameter.
