This specimen was lot 35102 in Heritage sale 3067 (Long Beach, September 2018), where it sold for $180. The catalog description[1] noted, "Sweden: Gustaf V Krona 1938-G SP66 PCGS. A magnificent gem, with a bright and argent countenance, and exceedingly rare in this desirable specimen strike." This type was struck 1924-42 and this date is common in all grades. In 1942, the coin was reduced to 7 g, 0.400 fine silver, and struck in that form until 1968, when silver was removed completely. The two kronor underwent a similar process.

Recorded mintage: 1,911,464 plus proofs.

Specification: 7.5 g, 0.800 fine silver, 25 mm diameter, lettered edge.
