Sweden 1927-G krona
This specimen was lot 1639 in Sincona sale 76 (Zürich, May 2022), where it sold for 160 CHF (about US$194 including buyer's fees). The catalog description[1] noted,
"SWEDEN. Gustaf V. 1907-1950. 1 Krona 1927, Stockholm. Mit den Signaturen G und AL (Alf Grabe, Münzmeister in Stockholm, 1927-1945, und Adolf Lindberg, Stempelschneider in Stockholm, 1898-1916). Fast FDC. NGC MS63. Feine Patina. (kingdom of Sweden, Gustaf V, 1907-50, one krona of 1927, Stockholm mint, with mintmaster's initial "G". About uncirculated, Nicely toned.)"
This type was struck 1924-42 and this date is common in circulated condition. In 1942, the coin was reduced to 7 g, 0.400 fine silver, and struck in that form until 1968, when silver was removed completely. The two kronor underwent a similar process.
